Making your own fingerboard deck with a fingerboard mold gives you control over every variable — concave depth, kick angle and ply count. This collection carries fingerboard molds, press kits, veneer, blanks and everything else needed to go from flat maple to a shaped deck.

A fingerboard mold is a shaped form — machined aluminium or dense resin — that presses glued maple veneer plies into the finished deck shape. It defines the concave curve and the kick angles at nose and tail. Stack your veneer plies with glue between each layer, press in the mold until cured, and the deck holds the shape permanently. Different fingerboard molds produce different concave depths and kick heights.
A fingerboard press mold is a matched positive-and-negative pair that sandwiches the veneer stack evenly. Pressing with a dedicated press applies uniform pressure across the entire deck simultaneously, producing consistent concave and preventing edges from lifting during cure. Clamping a single-piece fingerboard mold with separate clamps works but requires care to position clamps evenly. Most fingerboard mold kits include either a press mechanism or hardware recommendations.
Fingerboard veneer is thin maple sheet — typically 0.6–1mm per ply — sold in sets sized for deck production. Fingerboard blanks are pre-cut veneer sets, ready to glue and press without additional cutting. Using fingerboard blanks speeds up the build and produces consistent deck outlines, useful when pressing multiple decks from a single fingerboard making kit.
The two best-known brands in the fingerboard market do not sell deck-pressing molds. This collection is one of the only places to find fingerboard molds, matching presses and all associated supplies — veneer, glue, blanks and tools — together. Whether you are working through a fingerboard building kit for the first time or producing a run of DIY fingerboard decks, the range here covers every stage.
