Fingerboard Cases, Bags & Display

4 products

A fingerboard case protects a setup worth far more than the case itself — deck graphics fade, trucks scratch and wheels flat-spot when a board rattles loose in a bag or drawer. This collection covers hard and soft fingerboard cases, fingerboard bags for travelling to sessions, and display stands for collectors who want boards visible rather than buried in a box.

Fingerboard Cases, Bags & Display: a buying guide

Hard cases vs. fingerboard bags

A hard fingerboard case offers the best protection during transport — the shell absorbs impacts and keeps the board from shifting internally. Hard cases suit riders who travel to sessions by bike or public transport where the board might get knocked around. A fingerboard bag is lighter, more flexible, and often holds multiple boards alongside a complete. Bags suit riders who skate nearby and want something that sits easily in a backpack.

Storing parts and hardware

Loose fingerboard parts — spare bushings, bearings, screws and spacers — disappear faster than almost any other small item. A fingerboard storage case or bag with an internal pocket or divided compartment keeps hardware organised. If you carry a fingerboard tool and spare parts to sessions, look for a case with dedicated hardware storage.

Display stands for collectors

A fingerboard display stand holds one or more decks upright and visible, protecting the graphics from contact damage. Acrylic stands are the most common format — transparent, so the deck graphic becomes the visual focus rather than the stand. Wall-mounted display options let boards be arranged like art for larger collections. A proper fingerboard display stand preserves both the condition and the presentation of graphic or limited-release decks.

Travelling with setups

The small size of fingerboards means they fit in hand luggage without issue. The main concern in transit is truck and wheel damage from the board moving freely. A case or bag with foam or fabric padding prevents truck scratching and keeps wheels from flat-spotting against a hard surface.

Common questions

What is the best way to store fingerboards?
A fingerboard case or padded bag protects the deck graphic, prevents truck scratching and keeps the setup dust-free. For long-term storage, keep boards out of direct sunlight — UV fades graphics and can warp thin maple decks over time.
Can I display fingerboards on a wall?
Yes. Wall-mounted fingerboard display stands hold decks horizontally or vertically using minimal hardware. The deck rests in a slot or on small pegs that contact only the trucks or deck edge, keeping the graphic untouched. Check the specs if you have unusually wide or narrow decks.
How many fingerboards fit in a fingerboard bag?
Most single fingerboard bags hold one complete setup. Larger fingerboard storage bags designed for collectors can hold three to six boards. Deck-only storage is more compact than complete setups because trucks add width. Check the listed capacity before buying if you plan to carry more than one board.
Do fingerboard cases come with padding?
Quality fingerboard cases include foam or fabric padding that prevents rattling and protects the deck surface and trucks. Some have pre-cut foam inserts shaped to a specific format; others use flexible padding for different sizes. Check the product description for padding type if scratch protection is a priority.
