The 34mm fingerboard deck is the standard all-round width — the majority of pros ride somewhere in this range, and it is the easiest size to find matching trucks for. A 36mm fingerboard deck gives a wider, more planted feel that works well for park lines and larger obstacles.
Concave profiles explained
Concave is the curve across the width of the deck. Deeper concave locks your fingers in for flip tricks and gives more control during technical lines. A shallower concave with a steeper kick produces faster pop — useful for street-style riding where you want the nose and tail to snap quickly. Blank vs. graphic decks
A blank fingerboard deck is unprinted maple — clean, simple and often slightly cheaper than a graphic option. Blank decks suit riders who want to apply custom grip patterns or paint the board themselves. Graphic pro fingerboard decks use the same maple construction as blanks; the difference is purely cosmetic, not structural.
Why wood matters
A wooden fingerboard deck built from cross-laminated maple veneer presses into shape under heat and pressure. The layered construction gives a realistic flex and pop that plastic cannot replicate. When you pop an ollie on a properly made maple deck, the tail springs back in a way that builds genuine technique.

- Do I need special trucks for different deck widths?

- Are blank fingerboard decks the same quality as graphic ones?
