Complete Fingerboards

Complete Fingerboards: a buying guide

Common questions

What size complete fingerboard should I start with?

34mm is the right starting point for most riders — the most common all-round size and the easiest to find matching parts for. Once you know how you ride, move to 32mm for tighter street lines or 36mm for a wider park feel.

Are complete fingerboards good for beginners?

Yes, provided the complete uses real components rather than moulded plastic. A wooden fingerboard complete with bearing wheels gives accurate feedback and builds technique that transfers when you move to custom setups.

Can I upgrade parts on a complete fingerboard?

Every part on a quality complete is swappable. Trucks, wheels, bearings and bushings come off with a standard fingerboard tool. Most riders swap bushings first — the cheapest way to change how a board rides without buying a new setup.

What is the difference between a fingerboard setup and a complete?

They mean the same thing. A complete is a deck assembled with trucks and wheels, ready to ride. Some riders use 'setup' to describe a custom build they assembled themselves, but the terms are interchangeable in most shops.

Do cheap fingerboards come with bearings?

Most budget fingerboards use hollow plastic hubs, which is why they feel flat and unresponsive. The completes here all use genuine bearing wheels — check the product description if a listing does not specify.
